Jerry Del Dobbs, 68, of Russell, died Monday, May 6, 2013 at the White County Medical Center in Searcy. He was born in White County February 18, 1945 a son of the late Delphard and Callie Mae Moore Dobbs. Jerry was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and had worked in Newport and Augusta as mail carrier for many years as well as the Russell Post Office as an assistant Postmaster. He had served as Water Department Superintendent in Russell and Kensett and was also a member of the Russell Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his nephews, Joe Ray Smith and Rodney Smith as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gilbert Cemetery at Russell by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
