Gilbert Richard Smith
of Heber Springs,
November 2, 1928 - February 13, 2012
Gilbert Richard Smith was born on November 2, 1928 to John R. and Beulah Rushin Smith in Searcy, Arkansas and passed away on Monday February 13, 2012 in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Mr. Smith was a member of the Heber Springs Church of Christ and he was a retired production manager of C&D Battery Plant.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a grandson Troy Smith.
He is survived by wife of 65 years Bettie Brown Smith, three sons Jinx Smith (Donna) of Lucas, Texas, Herman Smith (Lora) of Huntsville, Alabama, Stanley Smith (Brenda) of Williamsport, Indiana, two daughters Evelyn Belldam of Chicago, IL., Kay Kane (Jim) of Pelham, Alabama, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be Friday February 17, 2012 from 11until 11:30 am at the Heber Springs Church of Christ. Funeral Services will begin at 11:30 am at the Church with Lance Mays officiating. Interment will be in the Rayburn Family Cemetery at 3:30 pm.
