Earl "Woody" Nicholson, 72 passed away Wednesday, January 02, 2013 at the Advanced Care Hospital in Searcy. He was born June 27, 1940 in Holly Springs, Arkansas to the late Earl Monroe Nicholson and Elva Mae Meachum Nicholson.
As a lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed getting out and tinkering, hunting, fishing, gardening, and farming. He was also a member of the Crosby Church of Christ. He treasured his grandkids. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Nicholson of the home; two sons, Wade Woodrow, wife Angela of Searcy and Jeremy Lee of Mountain View; three daughters, Cynthia Anne Emfinger, husband Clint, Jamie Renae Haralson, husband Allen, and Jillian Shane Hare, husband Robbie all of Searcy; twelve grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 03, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be Friday at 2 p.m. January 04, 2013 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home with burial following at Holly Springs Cemetery in Holly Springs. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you please donate to Friends for Life, Hope Cottage, The Humane Society, Jacob's Place or LeBonhuer Children's Hospital in Memphis.
