TIMOTHY LAMONT LORING, SR was born July 14, 1969 to Lawrence and Deborah Loring. He was proceeded in death by his mother, his paternal grandparents, Fred and Mildred Loring, and maternal grandparents, Leslie and Alee Shelton.
Tim professed his life to Christ at First Baptist Church of Higgins. Tim was a dedicated servant and always willing to do whatever was asked of him.
Tim graduated from Wilbur D. Mills High School with the class of 1987. He earned an Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree from Arkansas Baptist College. On January 17, 1992 he was united in holy matrimony to Felicia Robinson-Loring and from this union a family of six developed. In the Spring of 2003, he became a member of the Pi Omicron Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
In a entrepreneurial spirit, Tim worked in his family's business and his own. Tim worked with his father and brother at Larry's Tours & Charters. Through his company, Creative Identitees 2, he used his talent in printing and design to create memories for several special occasions. Additionally, Tim has been employed at Arkansas Baptist College since 1997 and has held many positions in the athletic department; the current being the head coach for the Women’s Basketball team and the Director of Transportation and Logistics.
Tim's passion was basketball. Tim became an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) coach, influencing a host of young men and women as coach and mentor for more than 25 years. Tim’s outstanding coaching abilities led several AAU Basketball Teams to numerous championships.
Tim departed this life on March 10, 2021. He leaves to cherish special memories; his wife, Felicia Robinson-Loring; three sons; Termell Loring, Timothy Jr. (Arielle) Loring, Jakobi Loring. Three daughters; Ashley (Charles) Miller, Mercedes Woods and Jasmine Loring. Siblings: Keenan (Shana) Loring, Deedra (Martiese) Walker, Sherrell (Sean) Washington, Christopher Brown; Grandchildren: Jayton, Timothy III, Ava, Trayce, Lennox, Jaylen, Nia, and one coming soon and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, coaches, players and friends. Tim had a special relationship with Aaron Ross, Bruce Shelton, and Carol "Cookie" Loring.
Tim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend until he departed this life on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. Tim had a heart of gold, he was dedicated to helping everyone. He had a special talent of encouraging and mentoring those under his leadership. Tim was respected and held in the highest regard by everyone that he met.
