John Lee Owens began his journey of life on November 16, 1958, in Camden, Arkansas as the son of James Harvey and Gertrude Owens.

John went to Union Grove High School. He was employed several years at Bear Band Roofing and retired as a boiler Operator from Rogers Lumber Company. His hobbies were hunting and fishing.

He departed his life on Thursday, January 9th, 2020 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his Parents, James Harvey and Gertrude Owens, sisters Sarah Owens, Dorothy Hawkins, and brother James Edward Owens.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Belvin Ann Owens; two sons: Roderick Gordon (Mekia) Dewayne Anthony Gordon (Laura) ; one sister Billie Sumler (Clyde); one brother, Ed Owens (Bobbie); one Aunt, Verse L. Parker; one grandson, Victor Gordon.

Special friend, Dorothy Billings; Daughters, Laquieca Jackson and Tara Billings; grandchildren, Shytanna Dixon, Christopher Dixon, Kelvin Jackson, Cameron Dawson, Ta’Kniyaks Nelson, Jayden Williams, and Kayden Williams. His best friends, Robin “Stick” Clark and Joyce Campbell. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
