He is survived by his wife the former Sarah Ellen Cathey and children; Fred Collie, Mary Isabelle Hamilton, Ora Ader Bowling, Cora Ida Moody, and Phoebe Katherine Campbell. He and his family came to Arkansas from Marshall County, Kentucky in 1879 and built a log cabin in Scotland which they lived in the rest of their lives.
