Everett was the son of Robert Cecil Norwood and Effie Skidmore Norwood.
He married Ruby Maye Scroggins in Conway Co., Arkansas. Ruby was the daughter of George Monroe Scroggins and Anna Lee "Annie" Huffman Scroggins.
Ruby passed away in 2010 in California. Ruby was cremated, her ashes given to her family.
