Roy Scott Holben was born on June 1, 1931, to M.L. and Carinna (Dixon) Holben in Clarksville, Arkansas.

He passed away on July 23, 2018. He was 87.

He was a Marine Veteran, 32rd Degree Mason, served two terms on the Lamar School Board, was a member of the Johnson County Coon Hunters Association, and was a member of the Strawberry Assembly of God Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, James Holben, Vernon Holben, A.B. Holben, and Glen Holben.

He is survived by his wife, Polly (Dodge) Holben; son, Larry Holben and his wife, Tonya of Lamar, AR; his daughters, Carolyn and her husband, Mike Morgan of Lamar, AR; Rita and her husband, Terry Yancey of Lamar, AR; Teresa and her husband, Sherman Cole of Lamar, AR; Denise and her husband, David Gainey of Lamar, AR; his brother, Efton Holben of California; his aunt, Lillie Dixon; twelve grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 24 at the Hardwicke Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Strawberry Assembly of God Church in Lamar, Arkansas with Reverend George Willis, Reverend Glen McGuire, and Reverend Johnny Price officiating. Burial will follow in Minnow Creek Cemetery in Lamar, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Dustin Holben, Michael Morgan, Justin Yancey, David Smothers, Ethan Hefley, Adam Woods, Klay Rowbotham, Chris Payne, Danny Wiley, and Grant Goodin.
