Kelly Ray Loop, 51, of Russellville, entered into heaven on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born June 21, 1961, at Springfield, Oregon. He was active in the community, coaching peewee football, youth baseball and Boys and Girls Club basketball. He was a member of First Assembly of God, where he was involved in Children's Church and AWANA's, and enjoyed traveling with his family and friends. Playing with his grandchildren was his favorite past time.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frankie May Mefford Loop, a brother, Larry Loop Sr. and his father-in-law, William Patterson.
Survivors include his wife, Sonya Loop; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tyler and Molly Loop of Conway, and Kory and Jennifer Loop of Russellville; his father, Gary Loop Sr. of Fort Smith; two grandsons, Cohen Ray and Cooper Daniel Loop of Conway, and a soon to arrive grandson, William Ryder Loop of Russellville; two brothers, Gary Loop Jr. of Springdale, and Evan Loop of Mansfield, Texas; two sisters, Sharon Page of Yuba City, California, and Gayle Judkins of Vian, Oklahoma; his mother-in-law, Willie Patterson Davis of Greenbrier; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces; and his faithful friend Brutus.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at First Assembly of God, officiated by the Rev. Larry Moore and the Rev. Ronnie Morris, with burial in Mount Airy Cemetery near Clarksville, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Active pallbearers will be Garland Baker, Joel Vaughn, Lee Vinson, Freddie Wood, Robby Sims, Jeff Threldkeld, Rick Harrison and Kevin Moore.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
