July 2, 2000 - August 11, 2018
John Andrew Roland departed this world on August 11, 2018. He left behind a large loving family; his mother Elanna Drye, his father Denzil Roland, and his siblings, Elizabeth, Aaron, Mary, Emma, Matthew, and Deniel May.
There will never be a day that passes that he is not thought of. John was known for his laughter and notorious jokes. He had an ability to see someone for who they really are and offer a grace like no one else could. His little brother Matthew said “no one hugged like John did” and that is so true. His hugs were so tight and he truly let you know how he felt about you. He always made everyone around him feel special. He was the type of person who would stay up all night just to talk to someone having a hard time. He loved taking pictures, of all of his family, friends, beautiful landscapes, and himself. He will be truly missed by the many people who loved him dearly.
A celebration of his life will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 in the chapel of Gross Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Tuesday at Gross Funeral Home.
