Funeral Mass for John Frank Schipitz of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2011 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, with Reverend Stan Swiderski officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Friday, June 17, 2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.

He died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 82. John was born October 5, 1928 in Chicago, IL, the son of John and Mary Kornfiend Schipitz. He married Patricia Mae Scanlan on at . He worked as a Salesperson for . John Schipitz was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. John lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas for years moving from Schaumberg, Illinois. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. He past Quartermaster of the Mountain Home V.F.W. #3246 and former member of their Honor Guard. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and loved animals the the outdoors.

John is survived by daughter - Maureen Manning of Schaumburg, IL; He was preceded in death by his father, John Schipitz, mother, Mary Schipitz, previous spouse, Patricia Mae Scanlan. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum with as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
