When Herbert Nooner was born on July 24, 1917, his father, Joseph, was 28 and his mother, Janettie, was 25. He married Oak Lola Blessing (Nooner) on August 31, 1926, in Enola, Arkansas. They had four children during their marriage. He died as a young father on October 11, 1938, in Faulkner, Arkansas, at the age 31.
