Troy Taylor, 80, of Beebe, Arkansas, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011. He was a lifelong resident of Beebe. He spent his life building many of the homes in Beebe, and was a member of Beebe First Baptist Church. He spent many hours on Lake Des Arc fishing, and also loved to hunt. Troy is survived by his wife, Louise; one son, Carroll (Pat) Taylor; one daughter, Becky Scott; all of Beebe; eight stepchildren, Steve Houghtlin, Tina Miller, Billy Houghtlin, James Houghtlin, Karen Haynes, Carl Whitaker, Chris Whitaker; grandchildren, Travis Taylor, Eric Hankins, Kelley Taylor, Stephen Hankins, Rusty Scott, Jennifer Miller; eight great-grandchildren; 21 step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Gladys Lightfoot of Beebe. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Billie Holt; one grandson, Denver Taylor; and six brothers and sisters. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Stoney Point Cemetery. www.westbrookfuneralhome.com.
