Raymond Earl Osborn, 84, passed into his Savior’s arms on August 13, 2019. He was the middle child of Everett and Carrie Osborn of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Raymond graduated from Fayetteville High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brother, Carl Osborn. He is survived by his wife Maxine Lierly Osborn, to whom he was married for 64 years; two children, Ramona Geurin (Steve), and Ray Osborn (Dana); grandchildren Scott Geurin (Laura), Katie Steiner (Thomas), Taylor Geurin (Katie), Luke Osborn, and Jameson Keeton; great-grandchildren Scottie and Rileigh Geurin; and a sister, Wanda Tackett.

Raymond began working for Southern Farmers Association in the Fayetteville Field Office in 1954, and transferred to Little Rock with SFA in 1963, later serving as Vice President of SFA over Seed and Chemicals for Arkansas. He worked with SFA for over 30 years, and ended his career as a sales representative for Missouri Farmers Association. He served on the Universal Cooperatives Board, and was president of both the Arkansas Plant Food Board and the Arkansas Agricultural Pesticide Association. Through his position at SFA, Raymond earned several reward trips which sparked his love for travel. Raymond and Maxine traveled the world for over 40 years, visiting six of the seven continents. His favorite trips, though, were the ones that included his family: to the beach, to the mountains, on cruises, to Disney World, to Branson at Christmas, and to Lake Hamilton for the Fourth of July.

Raymond was a devoted Christian, accepting Christ at the age of 20. He was a faithful member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church of Little Rock, where he served as deacon and trustee. He taught Sunday School, traveled with youth, served on various committees, and chaired the Mission Committee for many years. He was especially committed to spreading the gospel in Yokohama, Japan, and Mexico City, Mexico. Raymond was a true servant leader.

A memorial service celebrating Raymond’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 1223 Garfield Drive, Little Rock. A visitation will precede the service at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship building fund by contacting the church. Arrangements by Cremation Services of Arkansas. Online guestbook: www.cremationservicesofarkansas.com.
