HAROLD C. FEISS, a resident of Berryville, Arkansas, was born June 28, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas, a son of Alvin Elbert and Gertrude Ellen (Campbell) Feiss. He departed this life Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the age of 67 years at his home in Berryville in his own bed with his beloved dog Timmy by his side and his close friends nearby, just as he wanted. Harold was anxious to meet his Savior and rejoice in the comfort of the Lord. We will miss him but we are thankful for the healing.

Harold worked as a lay person in the ministry and was a board member of Soul Purpose Ministries in Green Forest, AR. He was active in the community serving several years on the board of directors for Office of Human Concern Inc. He served as the administer of Wildflowers Chapel in Eureka Springs for over 10 years and was instrumental in the development of the food pantry program there. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne 25th Infantry, a recipient of a bronze star for valor under fire and a purple heart recipient.

Harold is also survived by three daughters and one son, Tonya and husband Justin Skinner of Franklin,VA, Kristi Feiss of Harrisonville, MO, Michelle Feiss of St. Cloud, MI, and Tallon Feiss of Sanger,TX; one sister, Leatrice J. Slater of Olathe, KS; one brother, Douglas A. Feiss of Olathe, KS; seven grandchildren, Erica Sylva, Evan and Ethan Skinner, Shalyn Ponico, Saryn Peoples, Darius Smith, and Alex Feiss; two great-grandchildren, Krysta Olshefski and Ava Ramsey; God-daughter, Vickie and husband Hugh (JR) Poulson of Eureka Springs, AR; six God-grandchildren, Hollie Poulson, Deanie Sullivan, Natasha and Nathan Lewis, and Shane and Jessica Poulson; nine God-great-grandchildren, A.J. Carpenter, Bryce Gumm, Brayden Waldron, Justin Waldron, Riley Waldron, Hallei Gumm, Izaac Lewis, Victoria Lewis, and Elijah Poulson; several other relatives and numerous friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Gertrude Feiss.

Memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Soul Purpose Ministries Church (801 South Springfield Street, Green Forest, AR 72638) with Reverend Steve Helm officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Soul Purpose Ministries, P.O.
