FAYETTEVILLE — Clinton Wildes, 75, of Fayetteville died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Walnut Grove Health Center in Springdale. He was born June 9, 1938, in Norman Park, Ga., to George and Eldora Bragg Wildes.

As a young man, Clinton moved to Atlanta to look for work. He married Mary Ollie Jones on June 14, 1959, in Adel, Ga. He was active in the Baptist church throughout his life and taught Sunday school. He moved to Arkansas in 1986 where he retired from Ball Corporation after 40 years. Clinton enjoyed sports, especially golf, and was a member of Paradise Valley Golf Club in Fayetteville. He was a devoted family man.

He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Wildes; two brothers, Gilbert and Wendell Wildes; and a sister, Lottie Smailes.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Wildes of the home; two children, Christy Chiodras and husband, Ron, of Wheaton, Ill., David Wildes and wife, Teresa, of Springdale; a daughter-in-law, Patti Wildes of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Juanita Jones of Valdosta, Ga.; a brother, James Wildes and wife, Diane, of Thomaston, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Brenda Wildes of Chatsworth, Ga.; and seven grandchildren, Tiffany Corwin and husband, Cory, Nicholas Chiodras, Stephanie Chiodras, Mark Chiodras, Joshua McKinnon, Julie Howell, and Jinne Colony and husband, Chi.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Stuckey Cemetery.
