Ronald "Ron" Eugene Trembly, 61, of Hiwasse, died May 26, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born September 15, 1947, in Clayton, N.M., the son of Virgil and Graceva Crawford Trembly.

He lived most of his life in Boise City, OK, where he married Etta Lanelle Owens. Later he and children moved to Maysville, AR, in 1993. He married Wanda Spears Steiner July 25, 1998, in Hiwasse and they lived in Maysville until moving to Hiwasse.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hiwasse where he was Sunday School teacher and director of Angel Food Ministries. He was a volunteer for Care and Share and served as trustee on Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Board.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda, of the home; six children, Virgil Trembly and wife Rulyn of Colorado Springs, CO, Robert Dean Trembly of Hiwasse, Presley Allen Trembly and wife Cara of Bentonville, Brandi Janae Moreton and husband Russell of Bentonville, Scott Steiner and wife Kayla of Denton, TX, and Pamila Lynn Jeffries and husband David of San Antonio, TX; stepbrother Boyde Highfill and stepsisters Merion Gipson, Vickie Marsh and Bobbie Jewell of Cherokee, OK, and Jenny Newell of Oklahoma City; five sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Charlotte Spear, Betty Red and Joan Day of Bentonville, Howard Spears, Patricia Boling and Shirley Spears of Hiwasse; and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral service was May 30 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Hiwasse with Vernon Scott officiating. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under direction of Bella Vista Funeral Home.
