Orbie Floyd Porter, age 81, of Cameron, Louisiana, formerly of the Glenwood area, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020.

He was born on July 25, 1938, in Langley, the son of Otis Wilson Porter and Annie McGough Porter. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Roseanne Porter; and seven siblings, Winford Porter, Herbert Porter, Billy Porter, Ray Porter, Gradie Porter, Don Porter and Joyce Rasberry.

Orbie enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing dominoes, gardening, and grilling. He also enjoyed reading and studying his Bible and being a witness to anyone he came in contact with.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sarah Porter; his children, Carlton Porter, Larry Porter, Charlotte Crabtree, George Tucker, Cecil Tucker, Daniel Tucker and Amanda Matthews; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one brother, Douglas Porter; four sisters, Annita Francis, Winnie Morris, Mary Nell Kersey and Betty Whisenhunt; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 20, 2020, in the Langley Hall Cemetery with Bro. Billy Thomason officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood. Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 50 persons at any one time in our chapel. You must avoid all physical contact and attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering to enter.

Pallbearers will be Mike Morris, Devon Porter, David Porter, Dennis Ward, Chris Kersey, Thomas Jordan and Dean Porter.
