William Joseph "Joe" Pinkston, age 70, of Mountain Home, AR passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019. He was born December 2, 1948 in Bonne Terre, Mo to the late James and Alma (Turley) Pinkston. Joe is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (MJ) Venskus Ciboski of the home; two sisters: Faye Osterman of Orland, Illinois and Lana Goodroe (Will) of Social Circle, Georgia; brother, Jim Pinkston (Arlene) in Palos Heights, Illinois; one step son, Todd Christenson of Carrolton, Texas; two step grandchildren, Benjamin Christenson of Carrolton, Texas and Bianca Christenson of Belgium, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, an uncle, and many friends.
Mary Jane was the love of Joe's life. They married January 30, 2015 and they were the apples of one another's eye. He enjoyed garage "sailing", boating, fishing, and gardening. Mr. Pinkston was a very kind man always willing to help anyone. Zack and Zody, Joe's cats, will miss him dearly. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 1714, Northeast Lakeside Fire Department Auxiliary, Chicago Painters and Decorators Union, and St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Mr. Pinkston relocated to Mountain Home after his retirement in Chicago. Joe will be dearly missed as he was deeply loved by many.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House, Mountain Home, Arkansas; St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Reverend Norbert Rappold, celebrant. Interment will immediately follow at Baxter Memorial Gardens. A luncheon will follow in the dining hall at St. Peter to honor Joe's Life. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
