Funeral services were held at Holland Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 for W.D. Pruitt, who passed away Monday at his home at Holland. The services were held at the Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Ray Crews officiating.
Mr. Pruitt, who was 68 years of ae, had been sick for the past six weeks. He was a retired farmer and was born at Bexar, Alabama.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. L. Stivers, and Mrs. Clell Waldrop of Holland, and Mrs. Gene Gregory of Richmond, California; three sons, J.C. Pruitt of Memphis, Q.T. Pruitt and Orville Pruitt of San Pablo, California; two brothers, Dewey Pruitt of Holland and Elmer Pruitt of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl (?) of Fulton, Miss., and Mrs. (?) Sanderson of Hamilton, Ala.; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
