Mr. Jerry Dean Nance of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday December 22, 2019 at the age of 86. He was born April 10, 1933 in the Remmel Community, the son of Norman and Elsie (Kottel) Nance.
Mr. Nance served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955, after his service he worked on the family farm. He loved hunting, fishing and camping with his children. He loved the time spent working and raising a garden. He was a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Mr. Nance was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy Jo (Berry) Nance; sister, Normalene Cash; two grandsons, Michael Joe Nance and Marcus D. Nance II.
Mr. Nance is survived by two sons, Mark Nance and wife, Twala, of Paragould and Marty Nance and wife, Missy, of Remmel; two grandchildren, Karen Wilson, of Brookland, Kristy Seyler and husband, Kenneth, of Brookland; two step-grandchildren, Angela Brooks and husband, Chad, of Heber Springs, Joseph Fergerson and wife Mindi, of Jonesboro; special friend, Faye Burton and several nieces and nephews.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Doug Sutherland, Kenneth Seyler, Chad Brooks, Joseph Fergerson, Doug Cash and Blake young.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Remmel-McCall Cemetery. Friends may visit at funeral home Thursday 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
