Mr. Delmont Bernon Orr, 82, of Bradford departed this life on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at his home. He was born on Wednesday, May 15, 1935, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, the son of Alfred and Eva (Buterbaugh) Orr.
Mr. Orr retired from the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant on August 1, 1974, after 20 dedicated years of service to this great nation. He earned numerous decorations, medals, badges, commendations, and ribbons. Mr. Orr was an Aircraft Maintenance Technician and sang Tenor in the Military Quartet while stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base while serving.
Mr. Orr was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Bradford and loved working with Cub Scouts. He enjoyed boat fishing and watching the Arkansas Razorbacks, and attending the Mitchell Family Reunions. He loved to sing, read, and attended Gospel Quartet Concerts.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Alfred and Eva Orr; granddaughter, Amanda Orr; and brother, Roger Orr.
Mr. Orr leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Barbara Ann Mitchell Orr of the home; one daughter, Maria Sisson Ditto; four sons, Roger Orr, Gary Orr, Dale Orr, and William Sisson; six grandchildren, Adam Sisson, Caiden Sisson, Regan Mason, Darcy Sisson, Riley Sisson, and Samantha Scritchfield.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hickmon Cemetery.
