Pvt, Co. A, Bryan's Cavalry
W.C. "BILLY" REED was born in Rienze,Old Tishomingo Co., MS the son of Nathaniel and Nancy White Reed. He died on his homestead across the Ouachita River from Owens Chapel. His stone reads Age 68 years 11 months and 23 days. Gone but not forgotten. He married Sarah Catherine Owens January 22, 1867 in Quito, AR. He served on the Confederate side in the Civil War.
