When Alice Faye Hopkins Bass was born on December 12, 1946, in Helena, Arkansas, her father, Milton, was 34, and her mother, Ethel, was 31. She lived in West Helena, Arkansas, for more than 14 years from 1986 to 2000. She died on May 26, 2002, in West Helena, Arkansas, at the age of 55, and was buried in Walnut Corner, Arkansas.
