SPRINGDALE — Verl Dean Teater, 69, of Springdale died Jan. 10, 2005, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born July 3, 1935, in Mystic, Iowa, to Howard and Franchon Beaty Teater. He moved to Northwest Arkansas 40 years ago from Centerville, Iowa. He was a cattle buyer.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana Jones of Slaton, Texas, and Patricia Sparks of Grand Prairie, Texas; two sisters, Mary Kelley and Karen Luscan of Centerville; two grandsons, Ty Moore of Mulberry and Nick Moore of Wake Village, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Wess and Malory Moore.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Roy Cain officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ron Looney, Tyler Harrel, Jess Shirley, Virgil Armstrong, Dick Hoose, Harold Parsons, Phillip Reese and Harold Sargent.
Honorary pallbearers will be Howell Johnson and Ray Smith.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
