Arthur James Davis III was born July 11, 1979 in Little Rock, AR to Arthur James Jr. and Ola Jackson-Davis-Woods at UAMS hospital. He was the third of three sons.

He received Christ and was baptized at Faith Temple M.B. Church in Little Rock,AR under Rev. Lee Andrew Lindsey. After being relocated to Lakeview,AR at an early age, he joined First Baptist Lakeview under Rev. Leroy Williams. He attended school at Lakeview Elementary where he stayed on the honor roll, Barton High, and later obtained his GED. He graduated in the top 10 of his class at the Diesel Driving Academy where he received his Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Arthur was employed by Hill and Hill Construction Company and later Maud Elevators.
Arthur was a people person who never met a stranger. He would have you laughing your heart out. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and relatives. He was friendly, happy, and charming and could always put a smile on your face. He was a very generous person. Whatever he set his mind to do, he did it. He was not a sit down type of guy, he was on the move. And though he never married, he had many loves.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Carlos Demond Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memories,his mother, Ola Jackson (Albert) Woods of West Helena, AR; his father Arthur James (Kathy) Davis, Jr. of Grand Kane, LA; his grandmother Gussie Lee Williams, of North Little Rock, AR; five brothers, Mark Antonio Davis, Jacksonville, AR; Arthello Davis, North Little Rock, AR; Shem Woods, Omaha, NE; Albert L. Woods, Jr, Safford, AZ; Quartet Williams, Grady, AR; five sisters,LeaVannah (Cloy) Whittington, St. Louis, MO; Azzie Lee Woods, West Helena, AR; Keerica Woods, Omaha, NE; Katrina Davis Washington, Chicago, IL; Shermeshia Calvin, Jacksonville, AR,fifteen uncles, Willie Jackson, Danny Jackson, Quinton Jackson, Anthony (Sadie) Jackson, Anthony Davis, Dan Toney Davis, Cleveland Williams Jr, Willie Williams, Melvin Allison, Floyd Dunlap, Johnny Woods, Leon Woods, Earnest Woods, Tommie Davis,fourteen aunts, Thelma (Edward) Evans, Velma (Hillery) Gray, Joyce (Anthony) Lofton, Evelyn Thomas, Meshall (Devin)Winnegan, Viola Denise (Daniel) Seals, Ulysses (Mike) Freemon, Lessie Webster, Linda Pruitt, Linett Williams, Luevenia (Odell) Davis, Eloise Williams, Benita Williams-Kidd, Theresa Jackson; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
