When Bartley Wallis (Pat) Doyle was born on May 9, 1896, in Mapleton, Kansas, his father, Bartley, was 39 and his mother, Nancy, was 40. He married Dessal Mai Allen and they had two children together. He then married Evelyne Thompson in Mapleton, Kansas. He died on March 5, 1967, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, at the age of 70, and was buried there.
