June 1, 1927 - September 12, 2013
Bob W. Huckaba, 86, passed away on September 12, 2013 in Springfield, MO. Born in Oil Trough, AR on June 1, 1927, he was the son of Sylvester and Mable French Huckaba.
He was a World War II Veteran, a long time Gideon, a Charter Board Member of John 3:16 Ministries, a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church of Springfield, a former member and deacon of Allen Chapel Free Will Baptist Church of Batesville, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gaylord Huckaba.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Inez Adkisson Huckaba; three daughters, Pat (Dillard) Sherrill of Sherwood; Nancy (Bill) Thompson of Springfield, MO; and Jenni (Mike) King of Duncan, OK; three grandchildren, Eric (Shannon) Sherrill of Vilonia, Todd (Tiffani) Sherrill of Jacksonville, and Renee Thompson of Springfield, MO; two great-grandsons Garrett Sherrill and Jacob Sherrill both of Vilonia; one brother, Frank (Joy) Huckaba of Mountain Home; one sister-in-law Jackie Huckaba of Oil Trough, one brother-in-law G.W (Kathy) Adkisson of Batesville, and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation will be Saturday September 14, at 10:00 am with service to follow at 11:00 at Allen Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery with arrangements by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideon's International, PO Box 2982, Batesville, AR 72503 and John 3:16 Ministries Memorial Fund, 75 Holmes Rd., Charlotte, AR 72522.
