When Ruben H Coffey was born on April 14, 1892, in White, Arkansas, his father, Josephus, was 21 and his mother, Jeanette, was 16. He married Letha E Cunningham (Coffey Heggie) on December 17, 1916. They had three children during their marriage. He died as a young father on February 26, 1927, in his hometown, and was buried there.
