Pearlie Teresa French, 74, died Thursday, June 7, 2018.
Pearlie, better known as “Pearlie T.” died after a short illness at St. Vincent Hospital after a short illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dumpy and Clara French; one sister, Hattie Mae; and four brothers, Willie Brown, John Lester, Dossie D., and Tommy Lee.
Pearlie T. was born on January 24, 1944 in Brister. She attended McMittress School in Emerson. She became a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church at an early age. She began working as a housekeeper and after that CB Farm for 20 years, after that she was employed with Weyerhaeuser for 15 years from which she retired. She was dedicated to taking care of her sister as well as loving her family, yardwork, and watching football, especially the New Orleans Saints.
She is survived by her siblings, Charles French (Linda) and Cora French of Magnolia. She was loved by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Mount Zion Cemetery in Lisbon under the direction of Marks Funeral Home of Magnolia.
The Rev. Billy Williams will officiate.
