Hershal Williams, 50, of Mt. Holly, died Friday following a lengthy illness. Born July 20, 1920 , he was the son of Organ and Mary Williams. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Orlean Williams, Mt. Holly; a son, James A. Williams, Chicago, Ill.; four daughters, Mary Helen Williams, Fundia Williams, Funzia Williams, Edgle Marie Williams and Gail Eloise Williams, all of Mt. Holly; his father and stepmother, Village; a brother, John Williams, Magnolia; a sister, Mrs. Vera Miles, El Dorado; and a grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon in Shady Grove Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. R. Z. Wright. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Marks Funeral Home in Magnolia. (El Dorado Times - March 4, 1971)
