Paul Davis Power, 34, of 807 Brookwood Drive, El Dorado, died late Saturday in a Shreveport hospital following a brief illness. Born July 20, 1931, in Quitman, Tex., he was the son of Roy and Gladys Mason Power. A resident of El Dorado for 13 years, Power was manager of production and exploration accounting for Murphy Corp. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the First Baptist Church and the Lions Club. Power is survived by his widow: Mrs. Jane Cole Power; his mother, Mrs. Gladys Power of Quitman; two sons, Mike and David Power, and one daughter, Paula Power. He was the nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Fulkerson of El Dorado. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Don Harbuck officiating. Burial was in Arlington Cemetery under direction of Young's. Active pallbearers were Harold Monzingo, Harold Robards, Wendell Pagan, Charles Smitherman, Othar Smith, Robert Hosford, Charles Van Ness and Dr. Robert Myer. Honorary pallbearers were Ray Ellen, Bob Compton, Oliver Bas, Jr., Bill Prewett, David Thomas, R. R. Brown, Jr., employes of Murphy Oil Corp., and members of the Lions Club.
