James Delaney, 90, of Columbus, AR, passed away, Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Delaney was born November 1, 1927, in Columbus, AR, to Frank and Fannie Mae Taylor Delaney.
Mr. Delaney was retired from Holnam Industries as a raw mill operator, a member of Columbus Baptist Church, and an Army veteran that served with the occupational forces in Japan after WWII.
Mr. Delaney was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Bonnie May Bell.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Gwen Young Delaney; two sons Eddie and Christy Delaney, Bob and Donna Delaney; five granddaughters Brandy and Kevin Flowers, Kim and Willliam “Peanut” Cole, Amanda and D.W. White, Jill and Nick Metzer, Sarah and Josh Cash; four great granddaughters, eight great grandsons; two sisters Helen Couch and Hazel Bilby of Columbus, AR and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 3:30 – 4:30 pm, Monday, April 2, 2018 at Herndon Fuqua Funeral Home in Hope.
Graveside services to follow at 5:00 pm in Columbus Cemetery, Columbus under the direction of Herndon Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.
