Ernest Cleneth " Bud " McAdams of Bradford went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2014 at the age of 82. He was born on November 17, 1931 in Bradford, Arkansas to the late Ernest and Ina (Ironside) McAdams. Bud married Anna Faye Lody on February 24, 1950. They had four children, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Bud was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church for over 64 years. Bud retired from Norandal in Newport, Arkansas after being employed with them for over 35 years. He loved horses, mules, cows and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Mrs. Anna Faye "Lody" McAdams, one son Roger McAdams and wife Polly of Bradford, two daughters, Evelyn McAdams of Maumelle, and Diane Smith and husband David of Enola, six grandchildren, Mesha Sarrels, Bobby McAdams, Kristie McSpadden, Valerie Jaco, Jason McAdams, and Brittany McAdams, five great- grandchildren, Ashley Robertson, Cody Sarrels, Payton McAdams, Austin McAdams and Jeremiah McAdams, and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Roy Cleneth McAdams, one grandson James McAdams, one granddaughter Elizabeth McAdams, three brothers, Noel "Red" McAdams, Lacy McAdams, and Billy McAdams, four sisters, Nola Wellman, Lola Ward, Geneva Hodges, and Wanda Pearce, and a set of twins.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Billy McAdams, Jim McAdams, Jason McAdams, Todd Sarrels, Cody Sarrels, and Bobby McAdams. Honorary pallbearers are Danny McGlothlin and J.J. Robertson.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 from 5-8p.m. at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 2:30p.m. at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. John Boswell officiating. Interment to follow at Smith Cemetery in Bradford, Arkansas.
