When Benjamin Franklin Massey was born on March 7, 1893, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, his father, Harrison, was 32 and his mother, Lura, was 28. He married Vera Ottwell on May 21, 1921, in Garland, Arkansas. He died on October 20, 1985, at the age of 92, and was buried in Searcy, Arkansas.
