Roy Edwin “Ed” Upchurch, 73, died September 28, 2016 after a courageous 3 year battle with leukemia.

He was born January 17, 1943 in Texarkana, AR to Roy and Estelle Upchurch and was preceded by them in death.

Ed received a BS from Southern State (ISAU) in Magnolia in 1970 and was a 39 year employee of Ouachita County Medical Center as Chief Medical Technician.
He was an active member of Fairview United Methodist Church.

Ed is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Cross Upchurch of Camden and by their two daughters, Charmayne Dewar, husband Richie of Camden and Leann Cross, husband Chris of El Dorado. He is also survived by a sister Annette Puckett, husband Charles of Fouke, AR.

He also leaves his three loving grandchildren, Tyler Dewar, Whitley Cross, and Kamryn Cross.

Services will be Saturday, October 1, 2016. Burial will be at 8:30 am at Memorial Park in Camden with Rev. Carlton Cross and Rev. Terry Gosnell, Chuck Puckett and Ryan Puckett. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Fairview United Methodist Church, Camden with funeral services to follow with Rev. Allen Crum.

In lieu of flowers the family requests all memorials be made to Fairview United Methodist Church, 2603 Mt. Holly Road, Camden, AR 71701 or the charity of your choice.
