AUSTIN M. MASTERSON WAS A DRIVER. THE WEATHER WAS FOG. THE ROAD WAS UNKNOWN. THE WRECK HAPPENED NEAR STATE HIGHWAY 157. HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED: V1 WAS NORTHBOUND ON STATE HIGHWAY 157 NORTH OF PROVIDENCE. V1 CROSSED THE CENTERLINE AND RAN OFF THE ROAD TO THE LEFT. V1 THEN STRUCK A TREE..

Austin Matthew Masterson, 19, of Judsonia, died Sunday, February 19, 2017. He was born November 24, 1997 in Orlando, Florida. Austin loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as tinkering on vehicles and cleaning his guns. He was employed by Marty’s tents and his ambition was to join the United States Marine Corps.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Cynthia and Steven Raymond; dad and step-mom, Will and Sara Pratt; father, Charles Allen Shanahan; father figure, Jerry Ferren; brothers, Nathaniel Pratt and Blake Pratt; half brother, Brandon Shanahan; sister, Lanii Pratt; step-brother, Chad Merritt; mama and papaw, Robin and Paul Speakman; godparents, James and Nickie Spiker; close cousin, Justin “Bobo” Speakman; fiancé, Amanda Ricks; boss and best friend, Marty Stevens and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, February 24, 2017 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with services beginning at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Providence Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob – Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
