A resident of North Richland Hills, Larry Seidel, 67, passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, from a heart attack while on vacation with his family in New Mexico. Celebration of life: A service was held this past week at the Lake Cities Church of Christ in Trophy Club. Larry was born Nov. 29, 1945, in San Antonio to John and Adeline Seidel. A graduate of Holy Cross High School, he then attended the University of Texasat Austin, receiving his BBA in accounting and later an MBA from Central Michigan University. He married the love of his life, Suzanne Harrell, on Nov. 9, 1974. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After the war, he became an officer in the Air Force and retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1989 with over 20 years of service to his country. He spent his years after the military working as a defense contractor for Raytheon in Waco and for ARINC in Midwest City, Okla. He retired from ARINC in 2011 and he and Suzanne moved to North Richland Hills to be closer to family. In retirement, he enjoyed working in the yard, fixing up their home, spending time with Suzanne, and being a wonderful grandfather to his four grandsons. Survivors: His wife of 38 years, Suzanne Harrell Seidel; daughter and son-in-law, Kristen and Kevin O'Quinn of Keller; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Nicole Minder Seidel of Keller; grandsons, Sam, Seth and Scott O'Quinn and William Seidel; brother, Ronnie Seidel and wife, Rona; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Linda Harrell; sister-in-law, Zella Harrell; nieces and nephews whom he adored; and countless other family and friends who loved him dearly.
