December 23, 1927 - February 25, 2017
James Robert “Bob” Boosa, 89, of Camden, AR passed away on February 25, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Wewoka, OK on December 23, 1927 to Finis and Orpha Boosa. He served in the United States Navy from 1947-1955. On June 14, 1952 he married the love of his life. He retired from Arkla Gas Company after many years of service.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Alyene Boosa Stiles and his parents, Finis and Orpha Boosa.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy Lusby Boosa of Camden, AR; daughters, Lynn Boosa Scott and husband, Jeff of Fernandina Beach, FL; Jennifer Boosa Young of Destin, FL; brother, Finis Boosa, Jr, and wife Gene of Pensecola, FL; five grandchildren, Cody May of Springfield, MO; Stephen Scott of Jacksonville, FL; Ashley Scott of Fernandina Beach, FL; Blain Marlar of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; and Darian Young of Camden, AR.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Timothy United Methodist Church with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden, AR. Rev. Jeff Jackson and Rev. Deanna McCormack will officiate the services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 6:00-8:00 PM.
