Reverend John D. Minyard III, 72, of Ozark, Arkansas died Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Ozark. He was a retired Minister, a member of Jethro Pentecostal Church, Heavy equipment operator, and a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was born July 17, 1945 in Oceanside, California to John D. II and Willa Dean Parish Minyard. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Wilson Chism.
Reverend John is survived by his wife Lois Goodman Minyard of Ozark; a daughter, Machelle Glover and husband Nathan of Clarksville, Arkansas; two sons, John Paul Minyard and William Keith Minyard both of Ozark; two sisters, Shelley Crosskno of Blythville, Arkansas and Sharon Chism of Hornesville, Missouri; a brother, Mike Chism of Georgia; four grandchildren, Jonathan, Savannah, Ayden, and Kaydence Minyard.
Family will visit with friends from 2:00 until 4:00 PM Sunday, February 18th at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, February 19, 2018 at Jethro Pentecostal Church with Brother Lamar Joy, Brother J.D. Ellison, and Brother Randy Wead officiating and burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
