Mrs. Dorothy A. Derrick, age 90, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in a local retirement home.
Mrs. Derrick was born February 24, 1924, in Taylor, Arkansas and had lived most of her life in Texarkana. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was retired from Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Derrick, and her two daughters, Becky Plant and Patricia Vanderbilt.
Survivors include four grandchildren, two sons-in-law, eight great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A. M. Saturday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial will be at East Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 PM until 8 PM Friday.Memorials may be made to: Trinity Baptist Church, 3115 Trinity Blvd. Texarkana, Arkansas, 71854.
