Donald Patrick Lesslie Sr., 81, of Conway, died Friday, August 18, 2006.

He was born March 15, 1925 in St. Louis to the late Merlin and Julia (Wormack) Lesslie.

Mr. Lesslie served in the United States Marine Corps.

In 1960, he was transferred from Anheuser-Busch of St. Louis to Conway to be plant superintendent at Universal/Nolin. He retired from there in 1987. He was a member of Mohigans AC in St. Louis, the American Legion and the VFW.

Mr. Lesslie is preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert (Babe) Lesslie.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce (Springmeyer) Lesslie; children Sharon Freeman and Cletis of Conway, Donald Lesslie, Jr. and Magda of Burleson, TX, Suzan Brakebill and Lanny of Conway, Sheilah Lesslie and Chris of Conway, Daniel Lesslie and Kaye of Lewisville, TX, and Shelly Grage and Craig of Maumelle; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings Paul Lesslie, Maurice Lesslie, Monica, and Cecelia Harstad; a special nephew Bob Lesslie, Jr. and special niece Laura Heitert of St. Louis; special sister-in-law Virginia Pentz; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services: Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2006 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward Dr., Conway, AR 72034, 501-327-5000, with Chaplain Rodney Roberson officiating.

Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Royce McPherson, Jr., Chad McPherson, Justin McPherson, Dr. Donald Lesslie, III, Eric Self, Jr., Chad Lesslie, Chance Lesslie, and Blake Hogue.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
