When Seaborn Anderson Sneed was born on February 15, 1817, in Georgia, his father, Ansel, was 37 and his mother, Sarah, was 31. He married Lanicie Louisa Kennedy on March 30, 1845, in Seale, Alabama. They had eight children in 19 years. He died on January 23, 1874, in Faulkner, Arkansas, at the age of 56, and was buried in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
