Carl Lee Holland, 73, of Yellville, Arkansas, died Monday, August 20, 2007, at the Hospice House of Mt. Home.
Mr. Holland was born May 30, 1934, at Wetumka, Oklahoma, the son of Cleo and Velma Hardcastle Holland. On November 17, 1958, he married Barbara Wicker.
Mr. Holland was a US Navy veteran and was enlisted from September 26, 1955, until August 1, 1959, earning the rank of BTFN as a boiler operator and operating engineer.
He previously worked for Yellville-Summit School maintenance department, was a trustee at Yellville Assembly of God Church and a Master Mason at Mt. Home Masonic Lodge #225.
Survivors include his son, James Holland and wife Tammy of Scotts Bluff, NE; daughter, Debroah Parnell and husband Harlin of Flippin, AR and Kathryn Weaver and husband Richard of Cotter, AR; sister, Louise Pettus and husband Wilbur of Oklahoma City, OK; and grandchildren, James Layton Holland, Mataya Weaver and Ty Weaver.
His wife, Barbara, and two brothers, Virgil Holland and Cleo Holland, Jr., preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM on Thursday, August 23, at the Yellville Assembly of God church. Graveside service will be at 10:00AM on Friday, August 24, at the Heiskill Cemetery near Mt. Home with James Foster and Carroll Johnson officiating.
