Mr. Danny Duane Wilson, of Rosie, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at the age of 66. He was born December 20, 1949 at Batesville, Arkansas, the son of Henry and Willadene (Anderson) Wilson.
Mr. Wilson retired from the highway department. He was in the National Guard for ten years and also a Mason. He loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed camping and playing the bass. Mr. Wilson was a talented woodworker, who enjoyed building and fixing things. He was a very devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. Mr. Wilson was a deacon and member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Southside.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Shannon Wilson, one daughter, Christy Wilson, one sister, Dana Wilson, and one brother, Michael Wilson.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cathy (Holder) Wilson of the home; special sons, Lance Wyatt and wife, Deshawn and Keith Meeks and wife Audrea; one sister, Judy (Wilson) Kemp; four special grandchildren, Christa Meeks, Curtis Owen Meeks, Landon Wyatt, and Jace Wyatt. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Penny Nolan and Linda Wilson and his mother-in-law, Nedra Holder, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Service will be at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Southside, Friday at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Cord, Arkansas.
The family of Mr. Danny Wilson would like to recognize everyone at NEA Baptist hospital for all their care.
