Abe M. Heiskill, 72, a former member of the Mt. Home Police Department, died July 19, in the Twin Lakes Nursing Home. He had worked in the department for nine years.
A lifetime resident of Baxter County, Heiskill was born April 10, 1903, in Buffalo, to Fenton and Rosa Fletcher Heiskill. On Oct 19, 1935, he married Mildred Simpson at Buffalo. The couple had one child.
Heiskill is survived by his widow of the home; a son, Bobby Wayne Heiskill of Fort Smith; a sister, Mrs. Effie Covington of Midway; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jul 22, in the Roller Chapel, with Rev. Lee Parnell officiating. Burial was in Heiskill Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Roller Funeral Home.
Jack Gregory, Odus Hargrave, George Vickers, Bill Manes, James H. Baker and Herbert Hinesley served as pallbearers.
