Dwight Leroy Cheney, 85 of Conway, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, on January 26, 1927, he was a son to the late Ralph and Lena Hagaman Cheney. Mr. Cheney was a WWII Navy veteran , who served as a medic in the submarine corp. He obtained his doctorate from the University of Arkansas and was a pharmacist at St. Vincent Hospital. He and his wife, Jessie attended First United Methodist Church in Conway.
Survivors include his wife of Jessie Rapp Cheney; son, Brian Cheney; daughters, Beth Brady and husband Richard of Conway and Kathy Cheney-Egan and husband John of Evanston, IL; grandchildren: Samantha, Mary and Christi Brady and Rachel Cheney-Egan; a brother, Boyd Cheney of Oklahoma and a host of extended family and friends. Dwight was preceded in death by his son Brian's life partner, Jef Duncan.
Services are private. Arrangements by Roller McNutt Funeral Home of Conway.
