Jacob Alan Engeler, age 8, of Conway passed away Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Born September 9, 1998, in Conway, Jacob was in the second grade and attended Julia Lee Moore Elementary. He was a Cub Scout and enjoyed school and playing with his classmates and his best friend Noah. He loved camping, fishing and especially driving the boat. His interests included swimming, playing football, basketball, baseball, golf, checkers, and playing Ninja/Power Rangers. He collected rocks, especially crystals, and loved snuggling, hugs, kisses and his dog Ellie. He loved riding on elevators, listening to music, his dad’s cheeseburgers and going to Market Place Grill which he called “The Markets.” He is survived by his parents, Rodney Wade and Diana Davidson Engeler and two brothers, Eric and Alex Engeler, all of Conway; grandparents, Jane and Neil Wilson of Fort Smith, AR, Jean and Ray Bachman of Mountain Home, AR, and Fred and Peggy Engeler of Port St. Lucie, FL; his aunts and uncles, Rick Engeler of Fayetteville, AR, David and Paula Engeler and Sally and Darrell Williams, all of Mountain Home, and Jay and Jan Davidson of Fayetteville; and by cousins, Megan Engeler, Nikki and Ryan Hodge, Kyle and Ashton Williams, and Ashley and Matt Davidson. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James G. Davidson, Jr. Visitation is Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Conway with Rev. Charles Murry and Rev. Dede Roberts officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gus Blass Scout Reservation, Quapaw Area Council, 3220, Cantrell, Little Rock, AR, 72202 and/or First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1610 Prince Street, Conway, AR, 72034.
