Dickie Lynn Jones, 56, of Clarksville, Arkansas died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was a native of Russellville, Arkansas son of Benton and Opal Overby Jones, graduate of Pottsville High School and the University of the Ozarks, member of First Presbyterian Church, avid sportsman, member and past president of Arkansas Public Health Association, member and past president of Southern Health Association, member of SOPHE and ArkAHPERD, and was a 28-year employee of the Arkansas Department of Health where he was currently serving as a regional department of health supervisor for the Hometown Health Improvement Project for northwest Arkansas. Survivors include his wife, Pam Shrigley Jones; son, Benjamin Jones and wife, Loretta, of Mountainburg, Arkansas; sisters, Betty Miller of Wisconsin and Patsy Jones of Florida; brothers, T J (Jerry) Jones of Harrison, Arkansas and John Paul Jones of Morritlon, Arkansas; and grandchildren, Dustin and Cody Stark of Mountainburg, Arkansas.

The body was cremated.
