Bernard "Babe" Chism, age 89 of Houston, Arkansas passed away, Friday, April 22, 2016. He was born February 17, 1927 in Bigelow, Arkansas, a son of William Ernest Chism and Susan Smith Chism. He was a retired painter, an Army veteran, and of the Christian faith. Survivors include his wife, Juanita McGlothlin Chism of Houston; son, Carroll Chism and wife Kelley of Morrilton; sister, Minnie Faye Whitson of Malvern; grandchildren, Whitney Chism Force and husband, Andy of Morrilton and Angel Stafford of Conway; seven great grandchildren. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, four sisters, son, Denard Chism, daughters, Vonita Kaye Chism and Neda LaDon Chism. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at Harris Chapel with Bro. Buddy Wroten officiating. Burial will be at May Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 25 at the funeral home.
